Insomnia is fun.

It’s 3am. I have to be up for work in two and a half hours. Haven’t been able to fall asleep at all tonight. Slightly irritated. I figured I might as well be quasi-productive and figure out this myspace blog stuff.
In one day I’ll have been in Chicago for three months now. Without a doubt, it’s been the best three months of my life so far. I’ve met so many great people and had so much crazy fun. While the job I worked at this summer turned out to be pretty so-so, everything else has really fallen into place and I can’t see myself living anywhere else in the next couple of years or so.
I found an absolutely amazing apartment Saturday and really hope everything works out with me moving in. It’s a really nice one bedroom just west of logan square. Hardwood floors, large rooms, exposed brick on the interior, on the second-floor above a corner storefront. A parking spot, too. Neat. I put money down on it, but I won’t know until 3pm today whether my application was accepted for the apartment or not. Truth be told, that’s probably what’s keeping me up. I’m nervous as hell that I don’t land the place, cause it’s way too sweet to not have.
I think I’m really going to enjoy living by myself. I haven’t had the chance or opportunity to do so yet, and I’m really looking forward to it. The past couple months have been great, but this whole next year should be amazing.
